05/04/2022 - Classic Mini Carpet Kit, Update

As mentioned last month, as the Classic Mini market continues to change, as do we and we are continually developed our product range in line with the expectations of todays Classic Mini owner.

Our latest update is to our world renowned Deluxe carpet kit and sees the introduction of an extra piece of trim (circled on the image below) that lines the under rear seat upright panel (the subframe mounting panel). Essentially, trimming the unsightly panel (at the rear of the main floor section) in a matching carpet trim.

Although this is not an essential update, we understand (better than anyone else) that today’s Classic Mini owner is looking to improve the factory fitment, quality and appearance in every single way. Our new additional piece of trim certainly elevates the appearance of the whole interior (trimming the one remaining bare metal panel on show) and ensures that our carpet kit remains the best on the market.

Plus also a little reminder, if combined with a pair of rear pocket bin covers (LINK), this allows you to completely trim every single aspect of the Mini floor pan and surrounding areas - a unique concept, designed & developed here at Optimise.

Whilst I'm at it, just thought I would also update you on our new leatherette trimmed boot lining kits (that I mentioned last month), we’ve hit a few development snags with them (regarding fitment problems with rubbing, that will damage the piping & panels) which we are currently ironing out and trialing. Obviously we can’t start the design development of the boot liners until we are happy with the “mechanical” side of things and we will start the process of designing and developing the final kits once everything is working properly.

You will be able to follow this journey and take a look behind the scenes across our social media, as we develop our final kits, throughout May.
