Bespoke order process.
Step 1: Tell me about your project
The first step of any bespoke interior is to tell me about your project.
As an automotive designer by trade, I have a keen eye for design and many years of experience creating bespoke Classic Mini interiors. I'll be happy to guide you through the design process and help bring your ideas to life.
For additional information on creating the perfect interior for your project, please take a look at the price guides and information pages. You'll also find a contact form with a specification request section, giving me everything I need to start getting the ball rolling:
Please drop me an email (or use the contact form on the price guides and information pages) with a description of your ideas and plans. Include details about your Mini, a list of the items you're looking for, trim options you like, colours you're considering, and photos of the exterior so I can get a feel for your build. If you have any inspiration images — interior or exterior — please include those too.
The more detail you can provide, the better.
This stage can take a little while to finalise, as it's the perfect opportunity to go back and forth, refining the project by adding, removing or changing items and options until everything is exactly as you want it. Once you're completely happy with the plans, it's time to compile your quotation.
Step 2: Quotes
Following our initial discussions, I'll prepare a detailed quotation for your project and send it over by email.
This will include the cost of your project, information about the current bespoke schedule of work, and further details about the bespoke order process specific to your project, depending on its size and scope.
Once you've reviewed the quotation and everything looks right, it's time to book your project in.
Step 3: Booking
Once you're ready to go ahead, you can confirm your project and make the booking payment through the website. I'll send you an invoice by email with everything you need to complete the booking.
All website payments are securely processed through Stripe, the online payment gateway provider. Stripe provides a safe and simple way to complete your payment online. Payment is taken at the final point of order confirmation and processed from your bank account immediately.
Step 4: Project confirmation
After placing your order, you will instantly receive an automated confirmation email.
Once I've processed your booking, I'll send you a second email confirming your project's estimated start date and lead time.
Step 5: Project details & finalisation
With your project now booked in, I can begin compiling your project folder.
This document will bring together everything we've discussed, covering all the finer details of your interior, including a full design and specification list.
Step 6: Drop off your project (if applicable)
If your project requires it, the next step is to arrange a convenient time for you to drop your seats and/or interior items off with me.
To help keep everything on schedule, I ask that seats and/or interior items are delivered as close to your confirmed start date as possible. A convenient drop-off appointment can then be arranged to suit us both.
Step 7: Sit back, relax & let me do my thing
By now you'll have already received your estimated project dates, so all that's left to do is sit back, relax, and let me do my thing.
Step 8: Collect your project (if applicable)
Once your project has been completed (if applicable), I'll get in touch by email so we can arrange a convenient collection appointment that suits us both.
If there is an outstanding balance to pay, this can be settled at Optimise HQ when you collect your project using card (payments are processed by Square). I'm afraid I no longer accept cash.
