It’s hard to believe it’s now a year since the new Optimise Automotive website went live, and it’s definitely become the platform I see as the current and future home of Optimise.
Since launch, there’s actually been quite a lot of change…
I launched gift vouchers, introduced merchandise, added a clearance section for old trim and then, one by one, removed them again. Not because they were bad ideas, but because they weren’t what I really want Optimise to be about these days.
So I’ve stripped things back and focused on exactly what I actually do — simply Classic Mini interiors.
No messing. No nonsense. No distractions. Just Classic Mini interiors.
And that change goes a little deeper than just what’s on the website, I’ve also updated the language used and the feel of the site, to suit the new direction I’m going for.
Since starting Optimise in 2008, I’ve always had the mindset of thinking big and trying to make the business appear bigger than it actually was. A bigger brand, bigger image, bigger everything. The world has changed, the Mini community has developed and this old approach is no longer the right one for me, for you (my customer), and for Optimise.
It’s now all about the connection between me and you.
You’re not dealing with a big company, a sales team or some faceless business. You’re dealing with me. I design it, I make it, I answer your emails, I pack your orders and I stand behind what I produce.
And you know what? I’m proud of that.
So rather than trying to look bigger than I am, I’d much rather celebrate what, in 2026, Optimise actually is. One person, doing something I genuinely love, specialising in Classic Mini interiors. And that’s exactly how I want to market the business from now on.
So here’s to the next chapter — taking it all on, on my own.
Have a great day,
Andy
